FOUNDERS, JOHN AND JOAN HALL
As teachers in the Los Angeles Unified School District during the 1980s, John and Joan Hall saw countless students struggling to fit in and do well in a traditional high school setting. Committed to providing them with an alternative educational environment, the Halls established Options for Youth Public Charter Schools in 1987.
