Options for Youth Charter Schools

API

API (Academic Performance Index) - California's API system rates schools on their academic achievement. An annual score is given to each school and ranges from 0-1000. The 2009 Growth API summarizes performance on a number of required standardized tests mandated by the California Department of Education. The following represent 2009 API scores for individual OFY schools and how they compared to 2008 scores:

Options for Youth - Burbank: 663, a 15-point increase over the previous year*
Options for Youth - San Gabriel: 637, a two-point decrease over the previous year
Options for Youth - San Juan: 676, a 36 point increase over the previous year
Options for Youth - Upland: 636, a 35point increase over the previous year
Options for Youth - Victor Valley: 632, a three-point increase over the previous year
